Activity for Feedback:
Use a classroom response system such as; yes/no cards, select the correct action poster for math, (some kind of signaling system) to monitor student understanding and provide feedback and anecdotal assessment. Or, you can develop your own feedback system that engages students.
Activity for Recognition:
Use the digital camera to take pictures of student work, or products with technology and display it on the Lieder Web Showcase. Student products can be uploaded as well. Use the online certificates, web resources are found on pg. 62 - 66, to recognize student effort and success.
Activity for Cooperative Learning:
Divide students into small groups to develop a narrative. Let students draw something currently focused in your scope and sequence for science, social studies, etc. that illustrate this narrative, then record it with each member of the student group providing a voice over as the photos are displayed in the digital production. Refer to pages 141-143, and the Digitalstory resources which is in the staff drive folder (also see the Navigation bar to the left).
Another option would be to do KEY PALS or Webquest with students, pgs. 145-147.
Activity for Reinforcing Effort:
Refer to pages 155-164 and plan an activity to begin in January that reinforces student effort in your classroom.
December 1 Share Session is 4;15 to 5:15
Please bring ideas, story boards, samples of digital stories, response activities, etc. to share with the team members. We will create a folder on the staff drive titled, "LPLC Technology Meeting 2" to post your products to be shared in the meeting. We will have a smart board set up for your use to access and display your task activities.
Discussion: After accessing resources, working with students, and initiating products, please post your observations and thoughts about working through any or all of these activities under the Discussion tab. This will support others who are looking for ideas and support with their activities. Please remember to respond to at least two other people as well.
